Educational Philosophy
At Everlight College, education is seen as a partnership between home and school. The institution aims to work with parents and guardians to nurture children into wholesome adults who know God and are committed to making Him known, as inspired by John 17:3. The school believes that every individual is placed on earth for a reason: to know God, to relate to Him, and to dedicate their lives to His service. This Christian foundation helps transform students' characters, instilling discipline, the fear of God, the spirit of voluntarism, and the motivation to work hard.

Education is a partnership between home and school – parents and teachers. At Everlight College, we desire to work with teachers who live by example, relate to students and guide them with gentleness, as they impart knowledge, skills, discipline, and train them for life. We aim to create a school environment in which students relate cordially with fellow students and with their teachers in order to learn and grow together as a team.

We provide activities that enable students to learn from one another and to encourage each other to be the very best they all can be. In our focus on life, we go beyond academic excellence and give opportunities to students to apply the knowledge they acquire in school; to discover what God placed in them and how best to use it for His glory and so be prepared for life in a wholesome manner; develop their God-given talents and prepare for all aspects of life as responsible adults – career, marriage, parenting and impact on society.

Governance

The Board of Governors serves as the governing body of Everlight College, operating in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Education Act, specifically section 59, part (ii) of the Uganda Education Act of 2008. The board consists of approximately 15 individuals representing the diverse range of major stakeholders of the school. These stakeholders include the foundation body, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, local government, and alumni. Together, they form a cohesive and inclusive governing body that ensures effective management and decision-making processes within the school. By incorporating perspectives from various stakeholders, the Board of Governors strives to foster a collaborative environment that upholds the best interests of the school and its entire community.
